HXMT Bright Source Warning Tool

The inputs of the bright source warning simulation tool are the location of the target source, the flux of the target source, the observation time and the field of concerned. The satellite attitude is based on the sun ray projection perpendicular to the detector baffle.
“Total Flux of Bright Sources/Target Flux” is the ratio of the total flux of objects in the detector field (excluding target) to the flux of target object. There are three fields of view for high, medium and low energy detectors, and every field can be divided into 1, 2 and 3. Only three fields of view satisfy “Total Flux of Bright Sources/Target Flux” less than 1/3 at the same time, in the calculation of "automatic evasion" below, it is considered to be observed, otherwise it is considered to be affected.
Visitors can enter the percentages of flux they need to view " Bright Sources Information " (for example, enter 0.1, indicating that only interference source flux greater than 10% of the target source will be displayed. It can avoid too many interference sources with little flux affecting the display of the interface). Click "OK" to see the name of the sources near the target source, and high, medium and low-energy flux.
In “Update Date”, you can move forward or backward for a few days to see if you can avoid interference sources. The number filled in needs to be an integer.
Fig. 1 is the sky area near the target. The three rectangles in the figure represent the three narrow fields of the selected energy band (high energy, medium energy or low energy). The blue star in the middle represent the target, the red stars and numbers represent the sources nearby, and the blue line represent the direction of the baffle.
Fig. 2 is a sketch of the whole celestial sphere. The blue dots represent sources with different flux. The yellow circles represent the sun. Three red rectangles represent three narrow fields of the selected energy band (high energy, medium energy or low energy).
